The Minister of Water and Electricity, and Chairman of Board of Directors of National Water Company, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein pointed out that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for Zamzam Water Distribution works around the clock in all days of the year, indicating that the maximum capacity of the production lines in the project reaches 200,000 ten-liter bottles. This came in a press statement following the Minister's reception of the President General of the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet's Holy Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais at the Project's headquarters in Makkah. Eng. Al-Hossein noted that the project was established at the expense of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at a cost of more than SR 700 million , and was inaugurated on 24th Ramadan , 1431AH. The Minister said that the amount of production from the project since its inception has reached 1,800,000 cubic meters, of which more than 1,300,000 cubic meters have been pumped to the Two Holy Mosques, indicating that pilgrims were provided with more than 650,000 bottles last year.
