Pakhtunkhwa Province, Rajab 18, 1434, May 28, 2013, SPA - DSP (Deputy Superintendant) Poran Circle Khan Bahadur along with five police cops was on a routine patrolling when the police van was targeted with a remote controlled device near Kotke area, Shangla District, killing all the officials on the spot. The bang of huge explosion created panic in the area, according to a report of Dunya News. The newspaper quoted eye witnesses as saying that firing was also heard after the explosion.
