World rowing chief Denis Oswald has become the fifth candidate to succeed Jacques Rogge as president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), according to dpa. In a statement on the Around the Rings website, the 66-year-old Swiss lawyer said he would hold a press briefing on Monday in Lausanne, Switzerland "to outline my vision for the future of the IOC." Oswald competed as a rower at three Olympics and is head of the International Rowing Federation.
