President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine had talks in Ramallah with British Foreign Secretary William Hague. Palestinian News Agency, which carried the news, said Abbas briefed Hague at the meeting, which took place yesterday, on the Palestinian position towards resuming serious negotiations that lead to ending the Palestinian Israeli conflict and establishing a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as capital and the 1967 parallel as border between Palestine and Israel. Abbas also noted to the continuous Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people, a practice that hinders peace-seeking attempts. For his part, the British minister said his county believes in a two-state solution according to 1967 border and finding a fair and agreed upon solution of the refugees issue.
