The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has supported the UN World Food Programme (WFP) with 515 tons of dates to promote the development food programme in Bangladesh. The grant was delivered by Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Busairi, in the presence of Bangladeshi Minister of Primary & Mass Education Afsarul Ameen. In a speech during a ceremony held on this occasion, Al-Busairi said that the Kingdom has provided these dates as a gift from Saudi people to Bangladeshi people within the Kingdom program to provide aid to many Islamic countries for the development of relations between the two peoples.
