A small plane crashed into heavy brush in Plymouth, Conn., about 1,500 feet from a Waterbury Airport runway, officials said. The plane crashed at about 2:20 p.m. EDT Saturday, Plymouth Police Sgt. Jonathan Marino said, and got stuck in tree about 20-30 feet off the ground. Firefighters extracted the pilot, who was the only occupant on the plane. He was evaluated by the town's volunteer ambulance corps and was determined to have no injuries, UPI reported. The plane sustained minor damage. Federal Aviation Administration officials said the plane went down shortly after takeoff due to engine failure.
