Deputy Minister of Labour Mufarrej bin Saad Al-Haqbani and Philippine Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz signed in Jeddah today a bilateral framework agreement to regulate the recruitment of house-workers between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of the Philippines. The Ministry of Labor pointed out that the agreement is the first one of its kind to be signed between the Ministry and a country from which the Kingdom recruits house-workers, noting that the agreement term is for five years that can be extended automatically for similar periods; and it provides for the formation of a joint working group to meet on a regular basis to discuss and resolve emerging problems of the house-workers.
