South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hoon Joon received at his office in the Korean capital of Seoul today Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, who is currently visiting Korea at an invitation of Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. At the outset of the meeting, the Korean Prime Minister welcomed Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, wishing him a good stay in Korea. He lauded the strong relations binding the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and Korea in a number of fields, including tourism, heritage and handicrafts and ways of enhancing them. On the other hand, Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung Se received at his office in Seoul today Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and reviewed issues of mutual concern to the two countries. Following the two meetings, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz confirmed the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea, calling them as firm and distinguished according to the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Korean leadership who, he said, are keen to extend them to all fields including tourism and handicrafts. All what I heard today is a praise of the Kingdom's King, government and people, he said, adding that, the two countries have exchanged interests, citing the Korean construction companies era in the 1970s and 80s as well as Saudi support for South Korea over the last period. Korea now is among the world's exporting industrial countries, he concluded.
