Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met here today with the Speaker of Ethiopia's House of Representatives Abadola Jamdah to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them as well as bilateral parliamentary relations. During the meeting, which was attended by Saudi ambassador to Ethiopia Abdulbaqi Ajlan, the Ethiopian official said relations between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia were based on mutual respect and interest. Jamdah lauded the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Ethiopia, drawing attention that the Ethiopian people highly value the monarch's initiative for agricultural investment, taking Ethiopia as its first choice to benefit from the initiative. The initiative has contributed to the cultivation of vast agricultural areas in Ethiopia, Jamadah said, adding that the Kingdom is, anyhow, a strategic partner of the development in Ethiopia.
