Abdulbaqi bin Ahmed Ajlan, the Saudi ambassador to Ethiopia, delivered 300 tons of foodstuff to the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia as an assistance from the Saudi government to needy people in Ethiopia. In remarks following the delivery ceremony, the ambassador said the consignment would contribute to further consolidate the historic relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia, considering it a gesture from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to help alleviate the sufferings of drought-hit people in Ethiopia.
