Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence, received at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today the Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Ambassador Ahmed Uzumcu. During the audience, the Crown Prince was briefed on the Organization's activities in preventing the spread of chemical weapons, as one of weapons of mass destruction, and the prohibition of their proliferation. The Crown Prince praised the Organization's efforts in prohibiting the proliferation of chemical weapons or their use, stressing that the Kingdom supports these efforts and the achievement of international cooperation to accomplish these goals in a comprehensive manner. The audience was attended by Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince and His Special Adviser; Saudi Ambassador to the Netherlands Abdullah Al-Shaghroud; and Acting Secretary General of National Commission for the Implementation of the Prohibition of Chemical and Biological Weapons Conventions, Advisor Fahd Al-Ruwaili.
