Brazilian trade envoy Roberto Azevedo was Tuesday chosen to head the World Trade Organization (WTO), dpa cited a diplomat as saying, after member states reached a consensus decision. He was picked over Mexican candidate Herminio Blanco Mendoza to succeed Pascal Lamy of France in September. Azevedo is a seasoned trade negotiator with a record of resolving international disputes as Brazil's ambassador to the Geneva-based WTO since 2008. -- SPA 20:38 LOCAL TIME 17:38 GMT تغريد
