The Republic of Korea has nominated its Minister of Trade Bark Tae- Ho, to the post of Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), it was reported here today. YONHAP, the South Korean news agency, said Bark will face eight rivals including Mexico's former minister of trade Herminio Blanco Mendoza and Indonesia's former minister of trade Mary Pangestu to assume the leadership of the WTO. The term of office of the WTO current chief Pascal Lamy expires on the 31st of August 2013 while his replacement will be chosen in May 2013.
