The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has condemned the car bomb attack today 5th May 2013, in Mogadishu which killed a dozen of innocent people and injured several others. He therefore offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the quick recovery of the those injured . Prof Ihsanoglu, while reiterating the principled position of the OIC against all forms of extremism and terrorism, restated his solidarity with the new authorities in the country in their peace building endeavor and stressed that those who only seek to continue with the chaos of the past have no place in the emerging Somalia.
