Egypt's Minister of Electricity Ahmed Imam was quoted today as saying that Arab world politics is not involved in the fields of power generation. In a joint press conference with each of the Minister of Electricity of Iraq Kareem Al-Jameeli and Palestine's Chairman of the Authority of energy and national resources Omer Katana following the end of Arab Electricity Ministers Council held at the Arab League, Imam said Egypt is on the way to build its nuclear station as building nuke stations is no longer a political issue but a developmental and economic one, he added. He said that a study on electric grid linking Arab countries is proceeding smoothly, noting that there is a grid link between Egypt and Libya, Egypt and Jordan and starting to link Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently underway.
