Enrico Letta on Saturday formally accepted the job of Italy prime minister and submitted his cabinet list to President Giorgio Napolitano, dpa reported. The new government, which is expected to enjoy cross-party support, was due to be sworn in at 1130 am (0930 GMT) Sunday, with parliamentary votes of confidence due to start early next week. The instalment of a new government will formally end weeks of political stalemate after February's inconclusive elections.
