Italian President Giorgio Napolitano has summoned Enrico Letta to his Quirinale palace, in a move widely interpreted as signaling that he will be appointed prime minister, according to a report of DPA. The 46-year-old outgoing deputy leader of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) and a former Europe, Industry and Foreign Trade minister was due to meet with Napolitano at 12:30 (1030 GMT).
