At least 190 bodies have been recovered from a collapsed eight-storey building in Bangladesh that housed mostly garment factories, police said Thursday, according to dpa. The authorities had handed over 153 of the bodies to relatives, senior police officer Mohammad Asaduzzamn said, adding that the unidentified bodies would be sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for DNA testing. More than 1,000 people were reported injured in Wednesday's collapse of the Rana Plaza building in Savar, 25 kilometers north-west of Dhaka. A ninth floor was under construction at the time. An unknown number of people were still trapped inside the remains of the building, according to an officer at Savar police station.
