An American and a Canadian were killed Saturday when their small plane crashed in the South American nation of Guyana, officials said. The two were flying a twin-engine Piper Aztec registered to an aerial-photography and survey company based in Miami, UPI reported. The names of the two victims were not immediately released. They were the only people aboard and no one on the ground was hurt. The plane apparently experienced engine trouble and crashed into a house in the village of Sparendaam shortly after taking off from Ogle Airport, Robeson Benn, Guyana's transport minister, said. A woman who lived in the house told reporters she had just enough time to go out before the structure burst into flames.
