Iraqi authorities say gunmen have killed three policemen in an attack on a security checkpoint in a northern city. Police officials said that the Wednesday afternoon attack took place when gunmen in a speeding car fired on policemen manning a checkpoint in the city of Mosul, 360 kilometers (225 miles) northwest of Baghdad. A hospital official confirmed the death toll, according to a report of the Associated Press.
