Police officials say a drive-by shooting and a bombing at restaurant have killed four people in Iraq, according to AP. The officials say gunmen opened fire on an Iraqi army checkpoint in the city of Mosul, some 225 miles (360 kilometers) northwest of Baghdad, killing two soldiers. In Baghdad, a bomb hidden in a plastic bag exploded inside a restaurant, killing two people and wounding eight others. Hospital officials confirmed the death toll.
