In a press statement following the visit, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz paid tribute to the late Prince Badr bin Abdulaziz, noting that the opening of the festival was postponed for the death of Prince Badr, one of the supporters of Janadriyah festival. However, he invited the public to see this year's festival when it was opened.
