At least two people were killed after a multi-storey building collapsed in the centre of Tanzania's commercial capital Dar es Salaam on Friday, dpa cited local media reports. Fifteen others were pulled out alive, police commander Suleiman Kova told the Citizen newspaper. The East African country's security forces teamed up with local rescue workers to search for those still trapped under the ruins, the paper said. Authorities feared children playing at a nearby mosque could be among the victims. The building, which was reportedly at least 14 storeys tall, was under construction. -- SPA 18:00 LOCAL TIME 15:00 GMT تغريد
