The United States said Tuesday that it continues to support the Syrian opposition coalition (SOC) as a legitimate representation of the Syrian people. “We support the organization ... We support their positive vision statement for an inclusive Syria, a future for Syria where the government respects the rights of all Syrians, regardless of their affiliation," State Department deputy spokesman Patrick Ventrell told reporters.
