The first petroleum media forum of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) began today in Kuwait City. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi led the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the forum. In an inaugural address, Kuwait oil minister Hani Hussein said that the decision-makers, experts and professionals gather at this forum to exchange views and ideas on supporting the petroleum media. He added that the forum's importance is due to numerous challenges facing the petroleum industry and oil producing countries and hoped that the forum will activate the role of the petroleum media and its tools to highlight the GCC countries' image and their active role in the service of the international community.
