The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral resources held here last night a dinner party in honor of Asian Energy Ministers, who are participating in The Second meeting of the Ministerial Energy Roundtable, starting its deliberations later today in the Saudi capital. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi said that he was pleased with this meeting which gathers the key oil producing and importing countries in Asia -- the biggest continent in term of reserves, production, exports and consumption. "This meeting is a continuation of the first meeting held in India in 2005, which was a turning point in Asia," Al-Naimi said. On behalf of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz and the Crown Prince; the General Secretariat of the Energy Forum and the Japanese Government, Al-Naimi welcomed all participants of the meeting and hoped that its outcome would be "fruitful and constructive" in forging global dialogue in the field of energy. He also wished that "transparency and frankness" would dominate the proceedings of the meeting. --MORE
