Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Russia on Friday for talks with President Vladimir Putin expected to focus on furthering business and political relations. Russia's Itar-Tass news agency reported that the two countries would sign oil and gas deals. Russia is the world's largest producerof oil and gas. China is the world's biggest energy consumer. Xi, who took office this month and chose Russia as the first stop of his first foreign trip, wants bilateral trade to reach 100 billiondollars by 2015. Chinese deputy Foreign Minister Chen Guoping said the two sides planned to sign about 20 deals covering gas, engineering, energy, investment, culture and military technology.
