U.S. stocks finished mixed Tuesday, after lawmakers in Cyprus voted against a tax on bank deposits. In world markets, European stocks ended lower, while Asian markets ended mixed. The U.S. dollar rose versus the euro, and fell versus the yen. Gold futures rose to $1,611.60 an ounce, while Benchmark light sweet crude oil declined. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 3.76, or 0.03 percent, to 14,455.82. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 3.8, or 0.2 percent, to 1,548.34. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 8.49, or 0.3 percent, to 3,229.10.
