Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, will patronize on Tuesday the start of activities of the opening ceremony for the occasion of Madinah as the Capital of Islamic Culture for the year 1434 AH - 2013 AD. The event will be organized by the General Secretariat of the occasion at the cultural tent constructed for this Islamic occasion next to the mosque of Qiba. Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the occasion of Madinah as the capital city of Islamic Culture for the year 1434 AH -2013 AD, welcomed the visit of the crown prince and his patronage of the opening ceremony of this major Islamic cultural celebration. Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz highlighted the importance of the occasion and the historical role of the city of Madinah in Islam. He also asserted the care received by the city from all Kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the era of the late King Abdul-Aziz until the present era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud.
