Real Madrid moved up to second in the Spanish Liga Sunday with a late 2-1 win at lowly Celta Vigo. Just like in Tuesday's Champions League win at Manchester United, Real's match-winner was Cristiano Ronaldo, this time with two goals. The Portuguese hitman gave Real the lead in the 61st minute by putting away the loose ball after Celta had failed to clear a corner from Mesut Oezil. Promising youngster Iago Aspas quickly levelled for Celta with a shot which took a wicked deflection off Real defender Pepe. But then Celta keeper Javi Varas pulled down Real sub Kaka for a clear penalty and Ronaldo made it 2-1 with a calm spot-kick. Gonzalo Higuain missed a golden opportunity to increase Real's lead, but the visitors managed to hold out anyway. The win left Jose Mourinho's in-form team 13 points behind runaway leaders Barcelona, who Saturday beat bottom team Deportivo Coruna 2-0.
