Nelson Mandela was on Sunday discharged from hospital, a day after the former South African president was admitted for a medical checkup, the presidency said. "Nelson Mandela has this afternoon returned to his Johannesburg home following a successful medical examination at a Pretoria hospital," dpa quoted Mac Maharaj, Spokesman for President Jacob Zuma, as saying. "The doctors have completed the tests... He is well and as before, his health remains under the management of the medical team."
