North Korean threats to revoke the armistice that ended the Korean War over a joint US-South Korean military drill "will achieve nothing," the US warned Tuesday. North Korea "will achieve nothing by threats or provocations, which will only further isolate North Korea," White House spokesman Jay Carney said. The UN Security Council was weighing further sanctions against Pyongyang for it nuclear activities, and Carney called the draft resolution a "credible and strong response that further impedes the DPRK's nuclear activities."
