Faisal and John Kerry answered the questions of reporters. With regard to the U.S. agreement last week in Rome on the provision of food, medicine and aid to the Syrian people, as well as means of supporting the Syrian people to defend themselves, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been providing aid relief for the Syrian people, and we are doing our best to deliver this assistance." Prince Saud also said that innocent people are being killed in Syria, and we could not remain silent in the face of this massacre. "Bashar Al-Asad lost all authority in that country. No one can act in this way and has the right to be the leader of that state." Commenting on the same question, the U.S. Secretary of State said that preventing weapons from reaching the wrong hands cannot be guaranteed, adding that there is a clear ability now to ensure that weapons would reach the hand of moderate opposition who would increase pressure on the regime. Replying on a question regarding Iran's deliberate procrastination, Prince Saud said "Certainly, negotiations must end at a specific time. We must have serious and rational discussions and put clear commitments in front of everyone. Negotiations must be serious to the extent possible, where intentions and motives are expressed in order to resolve the issue. These factors are not satisfied by the Iranians, as they did not show any party their seriousness in these negotiations. They continued negotiations just to reach more and more negotiations in the future. If such negotiations continued, we will see ourselves in front of a nuclear weapon, but we cannot allow this to happen. Iran should show motive and understand that negotiation will be limited in time. Iran should fulfill all conditions set by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons."
