Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, hailed today the role of the press in highlighting the historical legacy and national heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the contribution of the press to cultural formation, saving the landmarks of the national identity and informing the readers about the Kingdom's historical stages of development. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency today following the opening the exhibition and forum of the historical photographs in Saudi newspapers, the Crown Prince described the Saudi press as contributing to keeping the pictures of the events of the Kingdom's past and presence for the new Saudi generations. The Crown Prince said that the press also documented the history of the country, praising in this regard the national archive of photos.
