At least 32 people died when an overcrowded bus crashed while travelling from Nairobi to the town of Garissa in northeastern Kenya, officials said. Local media reported that 85 people were on the bus when it overturned in Mwingi, a town located some 180 kilometres from Nairobi, at around 3am (0000 GMT). Witnesses were quoted as saying the bus was overcrowded. Red Cross officials said 11 people died instantly, according to a report of DPA.
