At the conclusion of the Saudi-Turkmen Joint Committee meetings, held here over the last two days, the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Tawfiq bin Fozan Al-Rabee'a and Turkmenistan's Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Bayar Abayev spoke to the press on the investment opportunities in the two countries. To mark the occasion, Dr. Al-Rabee'a drew the attention to the Saudi petrochemical industry, terming it as among the world's preferable. He said more than $120 billion was invested in petrochemicals in Saudi Arabia, making the industry popular in the North American, European and Asian markets. He invited the Turkmenistan's businessmen to come and do business in Saudi Arabia. As well, the Turkmenistan's minister cast light on investments in his country, inviting Saudi businessmen to invest in his country.
