Israeli Soldiers Injure 20 Palestinians During Confrontations in Al-Khalil

Khalil, Rabi'II 9, 1434, Feb 19, 2013, SPA - Around 20 Palestinians were injured Monday during confrontations that erupted with Israeli soldiers following demonstrations in Al-Khalil in solidarity with the striking prisoners, according to witnesses.
They told the State of Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA “that the soldiers fired live ammunition, sound and tear gas canisters at the protesters, injuring and suffocating a number of them. The injured were transferred to a hospital to receive treatment.
They also targeted journalists by firing at them to prevent them from covering the confrontations.
Israeli soldiers reportedly arrested a Palestinian after raiding his store in the central Al-Khalil, and took him to an unknown destination.
