Sharq newspaper said in its title that Riyadh fights terrorism while Tehran supports it. The newspaper added that while Riyadh was hosting the international conference to boost coordination among agencies and countries involved in combating terrorism, the government of Bahrain seized an extremist cell comprising eight Bahraini elements trained in Iran, Iraq and Lebanon. Al-Yaum newspaper also commented on developments in Bahrain saying that developments in Bahrain is alarming to the people of Bahrain in particular, and to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in general. The newspaper added, "But this situation is joyous for conspiracy planners and implementers because they do not care about the stability and fate of Bahrain and want to satisfy the lust of evil and the culture of conspiracy and hatred." Within the same context, Al-Watan newspaper's editorial criticized Iran and said in its title that Iran is exporting its internal division. Finally, Al-Riyadh newspaper commented on events in the Arab world saying that there is nothing in them that calls for optimism.
