Officials in eastern Czech Republic say a powerful gas explosion badly damaged a three-storey apartment building, killing at least two residents and leaving an unspecified number of people missing. Police officer Miroslav Igrai says at least 11 people have been injured and are being treated in nearby hospitals. Police spokeswoman Sona Stetinska says the blast that occurred early Sunday in the town of Frenstat pod Radhostem was likely caused by gas. Fire department spokesman Vladimir Vlcek says the house was damaged beyond repair and it will take hours to search the rubble, according to a report of the Associated Press.
