Ministry of Culture and Information Organizes Arab Calligraphy Contest in Madinah

The Ministry of Culture and Information will organize the Competition of International Contemporary Arab Calligraphy Forum entitled "Madinah in the eyes of calligraphers" within the framework of celebrations on the selection of Madinah as Capital of Islamic Culture for the year 2013, in the month of Shaaban, 1434 AH.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs Dr. Nasser bin Saleh Al-Hujailan pointed out that the competition aims to encourage calligraphers in Arab and Islamic countries in creativity and innovation of Arab calligraphy, noting that financial prizes for the winners amount to SR 200,000.
