Saudi newspapers' editorials for today highlighted a number of current issues. Al-Bilad newspaper highlighted the firm positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense during the speech of the Kingdom at the 12th Islamic Summit Conference, which was hosted by Cairo recently. The newspaper explained that during his speech, Crown Prince Salman stated that the Arab first cause which is the Palestinian issue enjoys absolute priority and called for support for the Syrian people. Okaz newspaper commented on the great dangers and evils of narcotics calling for toughening penalties to deter narcotics smugglers. Al-Madinah newspaper commented on news of the intention by U.S. President Barack Obama to visit Israel calling for unity among Palestinians in preparation for any new negotiations. --More
