Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu described as 'important' the Twelfth Islamic Summit in Cairo, which will be hosted by Egypt on Wednesday and Thursday, due to the critical conditions being experienced by the regions of the Islamic world especially the Middle East. In a statement today, on the sidelines of on-going meetings of senior officials of the OIC member countries in the Egyptian capital, who are preparing for the summit, Prof. Ihsanoglu wished the summit will witness positive responses from the leaders of the Islamic nation to the events and current challenges.
