U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Robert Hormats will travel to India from January 26-31, 2013, the State Department said in a statement. “Under Secretary Hormats' visit to India will highlight our efforts to expand and enhance the U.S.-India economic relationship, U.S. support for broader regional economic cooperation, and our engagement with India on environmental and conservation issues," the statement said. In Agra, Hormats will deliver remarks at the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Partnership Summit 2013, the statement said. Hormats will then travel to New Delhi, where he will meet with Ministry of External Affairs Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai and other senior government of India officials. Furthermore, Hormats will deliver remarks in support of India's efforts to expand economic ties with South and Southeast Asia, as well as remarks on sustainable water, energy, and food security policy, the statement said.
