A delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) led by its Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu participated in London today in a meeting on combating intolerance and discrimination on bases of religion. The United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Italy, Germany, Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey also participated in the meeting. The meeting focused on enhancing international consensus on Human Rights Council resolution 16/18 in order to combat intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization of, and discrimination, incitement to violence, and violence against persons on bases of religion or belief.
