Al-Deen Rabbani visited the Kingdom at the head of a delegation of the Commission in July 2012 and presented an important presentation to the officials regarding perceptions by the government Afghanistan of the national reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan and the future steps to be followed under the transitional phase and completeness of the national Afghan forces' takeover of security in the country." Turning to the economic side, he said that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to developing cooperation with Afghanistan at different economic, cultural and investment fields and at the bilateral, regional and international levels. He added that the Kingdom has provided and committed to provide to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan more than US$475 million, in addition to in-kind assistance and technical and academic aid. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue to provide assistance and support to promote stability and development in Afghanistan," he said.
