The Saudi Embassy to Afghanistan has handed over to the Afghan Ministry of Education assistance in kind provided by the Saudi Committee for Relief of Afghan People. The assistance included educational books and stationery tools to support schools in Afghanistan. This came during a ceremony held for this occasion in presence of Saudi ambassador to Afghanistan Mansour bin Saleh Al-Safi, Afghan Minister of Education Dr. Faruq Wardak and a number of Afghan officials. For his part, the Afghan Minister thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for supporting Afghan people, hailing the role of the Saudi ambassador for enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
