Sharq newspaper commented on the sectarian mentality governing Iraq saying, that news came from Iraqi jails about torture of Saudi detainees there after the loss of the Iraqi team of the Arab Gulf Cup final soccer match against the UAE team in the confrontation that was moderated by a Saudi referee, to reveal the mentality of those in charge of the Iraqi prisons and of the country as a whole. The newspaper added that attributing the cause of the defeat in a soccer match to the Saudi referee exposes the realty of the size of the sectarian thinking governing those in charge of Iraq. The newspaper called for urgent human rights help for Saudi detainees in the prisons of Iraq to save them from torture. --More
