Arab Satellite Communications Organization "Arabsat" signed here today two contracts of manufacturing and launching first satellites of Arabsat's 6th Generation of "Badr-7" with Cost of $400 Million in presence of Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information; Eng. Mohammed bin Jameel Malla, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; and French Minister of Development Arnaud Montebourg. At the outset of the signing ceremony, verses of the Holy Quran were recited. In his address to the meeting, Eng. Khalid Balkhaior, Executive Director of Arabsat, lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's role and support for the organization. For his part, the French minister stressed the importance of the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of France. Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja delivered a speech in which he expressed happiness for patronizing the signing ceremony and thanked the French minister for his participation, pointing out that the Kingdom is ready to provide support for achieving Arabsat's strategic aims.
