Three coordinated car bombs killed Wednesday at least 24 people in the restive northern province of Idlib, opposition activists and state media reported. "Initial reports indicate that most of the dead are from the Syrian government forces," the head of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdul-Rahman told dpa. He added that the blasts had targeted police vehicles near the city's security headquarters. Syrian television said the explosions had occurred on a major highway in Idlib.
