A shooting occurred at a California high school, a sheriff's department dispatcher has reported. The dispatcher had confirmed the shooting which took place Thursday at Taft Union High School in Kern County, but provided no further details. Media reports said that two people had been shot, and the assailant had been arrested. An ABC affiliate in California reported that sheriff's deputies were going room-to-room to secure the school.
